Christiaan Kotze is a sports photographer and has covered most of the important sports events in South Africa, but also overseas.He is a Fellow of South Africa Photographic Society. He has been an official photographer at the previous Olympic Games.

This series of B&W images depict the story during the epic battle between Italy's Daniele Garozzo v the USA's Alexander Massialas for the Gold medal match in the Men's Foil Individual Fencing that was held on Sunday, August 07, 2016, at the Summer Olympics in Rio, Brazil.
